What's the Color of Your Skin?

Today, as I watched myself in the mirror, I began to think what's the color of my skin? Well, with a grin on my face , I murmured, how on earth does it matter? It baffles me though how "racism" has managed to make it's way through from the ancient times, into modern world in different forms? When I think about the word "race", I prefer to state that there is just one race, that's "human race". Every known living organism on the face of the earth is made of a genetic supporting device called DNA, set aside the color of skin.

It would sound fair enough to point "European Continent" as the hub where racism and colonialism was born. A continent with many small countries with different race, witnessed the World War I and II. World can never erase the horrendous and nightmarish thoughts of "Holocaust" , performed by the Great Dictator - Adolf Hitler. It was the largest genocidal act ever that took away millions of lives. Thanks to Schindler, to have saved thousands of lives from the wrath of Hitler and Nazism.

I guess the Darwin's theory of evolution was the seed to the racist colonization, widely accepted by the western world. This very theory of Darwinism instilled a sense of supremacy into the Europeans over the other races in the world. As the world remembers that the Nazism was supposed to be a true inherent of Darwin's evolution theory, that was defined as the "survival of the fittest". As Adolf Hitler once stated "Take away the Germans, nothing remains but the dancing apes". Come to think, if only Hitler's unholy desire of conquering the whole world would get true? I bet there would exist no other race, but the Nazi Germans. To top it all, I do feel happy about the "Continental Drift" that split the single land mass into different continents far apart, else it would make such dictator's dream come true, far too easily.

In the light of such nonsensical evolution theories emerged the concept of imperialistic ideologies, that led to a lot of killings of other innocent native races by the Europeans, with a justification of them being inferior. I wish all humans on this Earth had possessed the same pigment types, probably this would have bridged all differences and would have killed the discriminations regarding the color of skin, race etc,.

Well, all that was history, should we really shun it away as a bygone era that doesn't repeat? I second the thought that racism still persists in the modern world in some way , shape or form. We still do get to hear about a lot of such racist killings to this day in this modern world.

When we say that "the world is mixing on a global scale", we better think again. The imperialist ideologies have managed to survive the test of time in many different forms to this day. I do understand if we define the "racial discrimination" as a mere cultural difference among different races, however, I do oppose the -"we are the superior race" theory from the bottom of my heart.

I wish to be a part of the world where the racism has been completely eliminated and the globe could be painted white with no other colors. Well, my friends, will this wish remain my poor reverie?

  2. I read the article twice, but failed to understand how Darwin's theory of evolution forms the basis for the racism the world has seen so far.
"I wish to be a part of the world where the racism has been completely eliminated and the globe could be painted white with no other colors"

I find the word white as a racist expression in the above statement of yours :)

  4. Well, Darwin's theory has links and roots with pagan culture which was a racist culture. Darwin himself was a racist. His theory of evolution suggests that the superior race should sustain and all other inferior races should be eliminated. This theory of pagan culture was also adopted strongly by the Nazism and Hitler, they eliminated millions of Jews considering them to be inferior race.

Also the word white is used here to mention no-color's = white.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Not convincing(about the Darwin's theory).
DO you mean to say that since the theory was developed by a person who was racist is bound be the root cause of the racism?
If tht was the case how come there was racism even before Darwin proposed his theory.

Now coming to superior race should sustain blah blah.. if that were the case, so far there would be only one race which was superior would have left. Why do we have so many races co-existing in this world>

  6. I think you have not understood this article, may be read it once again. Pagan culture was the root from where the Darwin's evolution theory emerged. What this article explains is how the Darwin's theory was used by the Nazis in a wrong way, that caused the holocaust. This is one example of racism. Anyways, Hitler was not successful in his desire to conquer the world or to establish his race. What I mean to say here is racism has existed , but it should exist only as a mere cultural difference, no race should try to eliminate other races. It can definitely co-exist.

  7. May be I did or may be I didn't..
This sentence is the root for my argument, may it needs to be re-phrased:
"I guess the Darwin's theory of evolution was the seed to the racist colonization, widely accepted by the western world".

The whole point of blaming Darwin's theory just because some one took it in a wrong doesn't sound proper to me.

  8. Further to add this is like blaming Edison because there are people who get electrocuted accidentally....

  9. Well, if you dont know, Darwin's theory of evolution had no Scientific base or foundation. Please get your facts right. That's the reason no scientists ever accepted his theory in his time. So for me it is racist crap theory. His theory states that some races were more advanced and rest were just the same (like apes). That itself proves his theory was a racist one.

  10. "That's the reason no scientists ever accepted his theory in his time"

Well, when Aristotle proposed that earh was spherical, many scientists of his time did not accept his theory. So if you want to go on this and believe that earth is still a flat groun, please be my guest and be blindfolded. You can name Aristotle's theory a carp theory as well and live under fear that if you reach the end of earth you might fall into abysmal darkness.

"His theory states that some races were more advanced and rest were just the same (like apes). That itself proves his theory was a racist one."

What's racist in the theory? If all the races are equally intellectual, why aren't apes or any other animal race propser the way human beings have(starting from fire to yesterday's iPhone to today's Nexus :)).
The human being is well advanced than other races and there are vital differences between races in terms of intellect. If you want proof, just take a peek around to see the way animals live and humans live.
If you find stating a fact is racism. Then I retire from my argument as I don't see any point in this discussion.

By the way out of curiosity if you don't belive in Darwin's theory, so what is your choice Theory og GOd behind the creation?

  11. Well, dear friend, you are taking a different route of discussion. "Apes" was referred to as other races, not literally animal apes. Hitler's statement also refers "Apes" to other races, thats the reason it is called being a racist comment. I never conflicted the fact that humans are the most intelligent beings, since they have the power to think. You have completely complicated this discussion.

  12. I am not speaking for Hitler here.
Am trying to understand how what made you assume that Darwin's theory injects racism?
That very statement of your about Darwin's theory is the root for the complicated discussion. If you can elaborate on that statement that might help either of us understand it much better.
